Double take
A second glance.
Taken back.
A silent stance.
synchronized turns.
In the direction of a girl.
Eyes follow…
Smiles appear
she glides through people.
for they clutter before her.
Her fragrance lingers.
A trail for pursuers.
Come find me it urges….
An underlying meaning.
She’s far from simple.
Everybody knows it.
Her looks,
she’s gorgeous.
Charm adorns her.
Eyes that get her anything.
A voice so rich…
Her words drip with charisma.
Everyone concurs
Males yearn for her notice...
Females envy and despise her.
Treating her crudely....
Hurt, she won’t let show.
For she knows they could never compare.
In the back of their minds, they already know.
She’s so out there.
Either by looks or her air…
She’s thrown them outta the game.
Not even in considered competition.
She’s a ball park home run.
Scoring more than just points.
Her smile wins the final run.
A simple upturn of a lip.
Her presence brightens a room.
Strangers melt before her.
She knows its so.
Outgoing and witty.
Sharp as she is clever
She’s got everything going for her.
People are at her disposal.
For she readily gains acquaintances.
None she can call friend.
Funny how just curling hair
Can earn you suitors and stares.
Make-up to boot.
Fine as dime.
Clean as a whistle.
Damn, she’s a sight.
Why then,
does she feel ugly inside.
